Cookie Policy
Last updated August 22, 2026. Questions belong in the contact form.
Cookies are small browser records. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and provider security identifiers. This Policy explains how they support TaroPrep.
1. Strictly necessary
We use necessary cookies and storage for sign-in sessions, email verification, request integrity, security, fraud prevention, load balancing, and remembering whether a signed-in request is authorized. These technologies are required for account features and cannot be disabled through an in-app preference.
2. Preferences
We use first-party local or session storage to remember theme, accessibility, dismissed notices, navigation state, practice state, and other interface choices. Clearing browser data resets these preferences and may sign you out.
3. Measurement
We use service performance and product event measurement to understand route traffic, errors, speed, and feature use. Current measurement is not used to build third-party advertising profiles. Depending on the browser and provider configuration, some measurement may use cookieless requests rather than a persistent identifier.
4. Stripe and linked services
When you open Stripe Checkout or the Stripe billing portal, Stripe may set cookies on its domain for payment security, fraud prevention, preferences, and checkout operation. Google, Discord, Instagram, or other linked services may use cookies under their own policies when you visit or authorize them.
5. Advertising
TaroPrep does not currently place third-party advertising cookies or use cross-context behavioral advertising pixels.
6. Your controls
Browser settings can delete or block cookies. Blocking necessary cookies prevents reliable sign-in, checkout return, and security controls. Browser privacy signals are handled as described in the Privacy Policy. Contact us at jacob@taroprep.com if you believe an unexpected tracker is present.
